TOPIK 4
~~~~~~~
The Topic of this disk is "Disk and Technical Stuff". The disk contains
programs that work in anyway with the disk, and some technical stuff such as
circuitry.
The Contents of this disk:
C directory- Contains MOST, Show (IFF picture shower), and diskmap, a
program which displays allocated and free sectors on a disk,
making a useful addition to your C: directory.
Electronix - This drawer contains two pictures which have electronic symbols
laid out careufully so brushes can be made of them, thus
allowing circuit design using your favourite paint program.
There is also a document file and circuit for a midi-interface
and a document which mentions an apparently common problem with
the 1084 monitor and how to fix it. Of special interest are
two pictures and three document files which give instructions
for installing 1.3 Rom chips in A500s or A2000s. Also in this
directory is a circuit which appears to allow IBM drives to be
used by the Amiga.
Drivetests - Two programs, Autotest and DriveVerify, which allow you to test
the performance of your floppy or hard drives.
Supra - Updates to the 4.3 Supraboot Drive to convert it to a
Supraboot 5.1. Also two 5.3 files.
Diagnostic - Allows you to make a complete disk which will check memory and
two drives for their performance.
SID - A great program which through menus allows the displaying of
just about all the info you would need on the Amiga. Current
tasks, interrupts, devices, etc are all available for display.
DiskEds - A few editors of different types : DiskX, BlkBust, Newzap,
DU-Hermes, and Dirmaster.
6502Asm - Put on this disk because I can't figure out exactly what it
does, but it sure is technical!! I hope someone can make sense
out of the three programs called Foxy, Lynx, and Make.
